Mifu — Creators claim gifts, brands get posts

The problem

Gifting marketplaces fail on trust in both directions. Brands cannot tell a real 8,000-follower account from a bought one, and creators cannot tell whether a listed perk actually exists when they turn up.

Verification, not vibes

Creator accounts are verified against the Instagram Graph API and TikTok’s REST APIs — real follower counts, real demographic breakdowns, pulled from the platform rather than typed into a form. A brand choosing between two creators is looking at data neither of them can edit.

AWS Rekognition runs on S3 upload to categorise imagery by audience attributes, which feeds the matching between opportunities and the creators most likely to convert on them.

Redemption in the real world

Claimed gifts become balance-backed gift cards with QR redemption that works at a counter, online, or half-offline in a shop with bad signal. The transaction ledger behind it has to be exact — a double-redeem is a real-world loss, not a rounding error.

Discovery is a map of opportunities near you, filtered by category, running on the same serverless geospatial foundation as Appetite.
